How to Market your Daily Deal Website!

So you have started your daily deal site and are looking for ways to market it and get more traffic. According to Mark Fratrik, the vice president at marketing research firm BIA/Kelsey, the daily-deal market could reach $4billion by 2015 and you want your piece of it. Here are a few ideas to help get you there.

1. Brand yourself. Your brand positioning, brand logo, and market niche need to be unique. Set yourself apart with strong brand positioning. Find a market niche and stand for it. You don't have to appeal to everyone, just your selected market.

2. Affiliate Marketing. Find like-minded organizations and websites to affiliate your site with. You can cross-promote your daily deals and find new subscribers and customers. Look for media sites, local organizations that send out e-newsletters, bloggers, and your deal clients.

3. SEO. Make sure you know what it is and how it works. Targeted keywords, build backlinks, and creative content will help boost site ranking and you want first page ranking to increase website traffic.  Make sure you're active in forums and make comments on blogs.

4. Banner Ads. You can create targeted banner ads for little to no upfront cost. Create attention grabbing ads, using your benefits and best features. Facebook Ads and Google AdSense are a good place to start. Make sure you block competitor ads so they can't steal your customers.
